What I’m working on, reading, and thinking about right now.
Modified

April 24, 2026

This is a /now page — a snapshot of what’s actually on my plate, updated every month or two. Last touched on April 24, 2026.

At work

I’m in the middle of refactoring a data pipeline — the one that’s been held together with intensely manual steps and institutional memory for toooo long.

On the side

Revamping this website and building a “digital twin” resume app in Python — a small RAG application that answers questions about my work experience from my own documents. It’s an excuse to get deep into hexagonal architecture, ports-and-adapters patterns, and the kinds of Python generics that feel abstract until you actually need them. Ingestion, embeddings and retrieval work, the front end is next.

Tooling

Leaning hard into Claude Code right now — specifically, using it with Obsidian as a thinking and writing environment. Configuring skills from community repos, working out sensible sandboxing The goal is an AI-assisted workflow for my “second brain” where I can just shout ideas into the void and they get organized and linked without thinking about it. Next I want to get openWhispr up and running on fedora using my local AI stack.

Off the computer

Getting outdoor house projects we’ve been putting off for years! First up is replacing the outside flood lights without falling off my ladder.

This page is inspired by Derek Sivers’ now page movement. If you have one, I’d love to see it.
